Clearly, one big goal of the conservative Christian base is to one day strip women of their right to vote and confine them solely to the home.

And that’s exactly what Arizona pastor Steven Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church preached to his congregation in a video he uploaded to YouTube.

In this latest rant, Anderson goes full misogynist, whining about women being able to divorce their husbands, having the right to vote, and having a job outside of the home, all of which he believes only men should have the ability to do.

“You know what they mean [by women’s rights]?” Anderon asked his flock.

“The right to divorce your husband is what they mean. You know what they mean? The right to rebel and disobey your husband, the right to divorce him, the right to go out and get a job and make your own money, the right to tell him what to do, the right to go vote for our leaders as if women should have any say in how our country is run when the Bible says that “I suffer not a woman to teach, not to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence”?

But it’s old-fashioned…”

Here’s the video via YouTube.

This isn’t the first time Anderson has been a total dick towards women. He once went on a rant about how women shouldn’t be allowed to read, talk, or leave the house without permission from a man. He has even demanded that women keep their mouths shut in church, which makes one wonder how any woman can stand being around this asshole.

And he is hardly the first conservative “Christian” hero to call for banning women from voting. Fake historian David Barton has also said that women should be barred from voting because the Bible says that only the head of the household should be allowed to vote on the family’s behalf, regardless of what policies or candidates the rest of the family supports.

And Republican presidential candidates, from Ted Cruz to Trump to Rubio to Kasich, haven’t exactly made it a secret that they have a general disdain for women. All of them have made it clear that women’s rights will suffer should any of them become president. And it’s because of preachers like Anderson on the Christian right that Republicans have adopted such medieval beliefs about women, which is why it is even more important than ever before that every woman in this country exercise their right to vote. Because if they don’t, they may not have that right much longer if conservatives have their way.

  1. Lets face it. The Bible is a man written book of beliefs, era 1500’s, now in its 16th or so iteration. It has books added and taken away through the years. It is basically ill used to dominate believers and to twist meanings as needed by phony
So called evangelists who seem to be all about fleecing their flocks of their money, and living high on the hog there after without shame or remorse. Sad.

    • This country was founded on the beliefs of being one nation under God and yet when his word doesn’t conform to our own selfish wants we choose to denounce it ? God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow ! If is word is good enough in our time of need shouldnt it be good enough for us in our daily needs

  2. Even Jesus treated woman , outcasts, world rulers and the diseased people with respect as a human and did so publically too.
God made woman for him to walk his days with him. You had every other living creature as his servant. Adam provided for Eve by giving part of his rib for her to have life. And if you're not buying that why do people keep saying that women should stay in the home and run those matters. Unless a man gives a woman a house where's her place. Sounds like pay first then work ? Man was alone. He begged for companion. He already had servants and being the only human you have everything except woman. And literally you could kill every man off the face of the Earth tomorrow and women could still populate as there's enough sperm in the sperm bank for generations…lol

  3. This tirade from a so-called Christian preacher is like something from a sit-com.
Indeed it would be very funny if it was not seriously inflammatory and outrageous.
He should be defrocked and certified as a total lunatic. Power to the women I say!!
Life could not BE without WOMEN!
Surely this demented man cannot be married to a woman??? I certainly hope not!!!! Maybe he had a terrible mother?
    It’s just unbelievable and terrible!!!!

  4. TAX his church! I’m sure this guy (pastor) is preaching republican politics. No politics in religion church or TAX. It’s the Law!

  5. We all are in subjection to Jesus and his father. If a male wants to lead a family it is in the way that Jesus wishes. It is in subjection to Jesus. This does not mean bully abuse and be above women. God cautions about the brains and beauty of a woman and to treat with honor. These evangelical hypocrites are dangerous.

  6. In order for the fake Christian to call for banning women from voting, it has to be a constitutional amendment decree!! 3/4 of the states have to ratify it!! Not going to happen!!

  7. God made male and female in His image. What Bible does he read anyway? We little ladies can’t get into heaven on a man’s coattail. We are help responsible in all things.

  8. He is uttering against the eternal design of the God Almighty. God has his own plan you cannot interpret His decision according to your limitted knowledge. God has given equal right to women as if men have and in a close examination it can be evident that in some sense it is more than the right what men have. Jesus was punished by men not by women. No women Caain was there and God has chosen men to bleed in the battle. Because he has sinned. Women are saved and protected by God.

  9. One man's opinion doesn't reflect the opinion of the whole party. One conservative preacher doesn't reflect the preaching of all ministr's of all the preachers of the conservative party. I too am a Republican, and I am Reverend: Robert Ruch. I disagree with this man's Doctrine. He does not preach Doctrine from the word of YHVH God concerning women. Abraham was commanded to harken unto the voice of his wife. So much that he had the cast out his Elder son Ishmael with his mother the Bond woman. Men keep tucking women, slowly into a quieter place. It is a power and control issue. But as you see even in the word of God. God finally steps in, and says no more. Even as he did with the children of Israel in Egypt. He stepped in and said let my people go. So God stepped in and said harken unto the voice of thy wife. That does not weakin the position and power of authority a position that God has set forth for man, and woman to hold in life. The man as the head of the woman, as Christ has a head a man, and God the head of Christ. Each has their own position, and Authority. But you do not disrespect one another. You love the others as you love yourself.
