Oklahoma Republican Declares That Rape Is The ‘Will Of God’

Women should get as far away from Oklahoma as soon as possible because Christian Sharia law is about to make their lives a living hell.

If Oklahoma state GOP Rep. George Faught has his way, rape will be on the path to being legal in the state. At least that’s what rapists are hoping for after Faught made a frightening statement on the subject during a debate on House Bill 1549, which restricts abortion.

Democratic Rep. Cory Williams masterfully cornered Faught during the hearing by asking him if he believes rape and incest are the “will of God” since the legislation has no exceptions for either, meaning women would be forced to give birth to their rapist’s baby.

Faught’s reply is absolutely appalling and demonstrates once again why women should never vote for Republicans, especially Republicans who want to base our laws on the Bible.

“Well, you know, if you read the Bible, there’s actually a couple circumstances where that happened,” Faught said. “The Lord uses all circumstances. I mean, you can go down that path, but it’s a reality unfortunately.”

Faught literally just used the Bible to justify rape. And then he used it to justify incest.

“Same answer,” Faught replied. Then he argued that Williams’ questions have nothing to do with the bill. Williams vehemently disagreed and explained why.

“You are proffering a divine intervention as the reason why you won’t do that and so I think it is very important,” Williams said before demanding Faught repeat his answer again. “This body wants to know — and myself personally — whether you believe rape and incest are actually the will of God.”

Faught obliged and stated that rape and incest are God’s will because God is sovereign over all activities that happen.

“It’s a great question to ask. And, obviously if it happens in someone’s life, it may not be the best thing that ever happened, but — so you’re saying that God is not sovereign with every activity that happens in someone’s life and can’t use anything and everything in someone’s life and I disagree with that.”

Seriously.

Here’s the video via YouTube.

This is exactly the same kind of statement that Republicans like Rick Santorum and Richard Mourdock made during the 2012 Election.

“I believe and I think the right approach is to accept this horribly created — in the sense of rape — but nevertheless a gift in a very broken way, the gift of human life, and accept what God has given to you,” Santorum said during his run for the presidency. “As you know, we have to, in lots of different aspects of our life. We have horrible things happen. I can’t think of anything more horrible. But, nevertheless, we have to make the best out of a bad situation.”

“I’ve struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize that life is that gift from God,” Mourdock said during his Senate run in Indiana. “And even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.”

Both of these guys think that rape is sanctioned by God and that women should appreciate the “gift” God is giving them by force. It’s disgusting and is the reason why both men lost their races.

And now Faught should be ousted from office as well.

  1. It IS NOT God’s will that people sin. So rape is not God’s will. However, God can make good out of a bad beginning. Maybe that baby is adopted out to a loving family that wants a child. Maybe the mother’s testimony saves someone else from being raped or helps another recover from rape trauma. I think his comments were wrong because God wishes no sin. But God did allow the devil to afflict Job continually to prove Job was faithful to God. Maybe this is why he said those things. Yes, Christianity is anti-abortion, but its a sensitive subject. As a female Christian, could I live with my rapists child inside me? I dont know. Could I give birth then give it to another family? I dont know. Could I raise a child that may resemble my rapist as it grows up? I dont know. So i believe each woman has to make those decisions on the dictates of her own conscience. I’m from RI where Roger Williams pushed for freedom of religion. I can share my belief in God but it’s not for me to force it on anyone. If my God exists, as I believe, then those rapists and those women will have to speak with God personally. Maybe he’ll embrace those women in spite of abortion because God is love. And those men will receive God’s wrath.

    • Diana,
I don’t know you, but I love your response to this. Thank you for sharing your heart. I am going to share your response. I think more people should read what you have to say. Be Blessed my Sister in the Lord.

  2. Remember as well that even if rape can be twisted into some act of God because of God’s supposed will to allow it to happen then it can be thus, supposed, that murder, and hate crimes are also God’s will. Keep in mind however, that rape is also a violent criminal offense and should in line with the above thinking also be considered God’s will and thus, when punished by up to life in prison is also God’s will. Remember, that by saying this, that the Represenitive thus, believes, that abortion is also God’s will.

  3. Remember that the virgin mother of Christ was about 12 years of age when she gave birth to Christ and thus, it can be supposed and in line with the Represenitive’s belief, that it is quite okay to impregnate 12 year olds without actual consent before hand, of the twelve year old.

  4. It is obviously the will of God that the Represenitive show himself to be the idiot that he actually is. Remember that “many are called but few chosen” because few do what the Lord says to do. “Why do you call me Lord and not do what I say to do?” “That you should love God with all your heart, Soul and mind and your neighbor as yourself.” Obviously the Represenitive believes that rape is an act of loving your neighbor as one would love himself.

  5. Remember as well that as relevent as the old testament (covenant) is that it is no longer relevant as to the law for there is no more sacrifice required in that Christ has been sacrificed once and for all. It is under the New Covenant (testament) that Christians live and it is obedience to that Covenant that is required. That we should Love God with heart, soul, mind and strength and our neighbor as ourselves. Thus, if the Represenitive thinks that Rape is loving God and our neighbor, it is okay, but if the Represenitive believes so then the Represenitive errs for no act of violence is an act of love.

  6. #George Fought you are one Sick minded, Anti-American Socialist, you have NO COMPASSION, OR Empathy for the Lives of others in our County, and you do NOT deserve to be holding an office in our Government where you are incapable of honoring your oath of office, nor are you doing the work of the people who elected you, which BTW is your Job. The time is NOW for you to LOSE this next election.

  7. Whatever happened to church and state should be separate?!? You cannot use a bible as a reason to make a law! No man has any right to tell me as a woman what I can and cannot do with my body- that by the way god gave me. Not them! And god gave me my own brain- if you want to bring god into it! Never thought I would see my country go back down this dark hole!
