Oklahoma Republican Declares That Rape Is The ‘Will Of God’

Women should get as far away from Oklahoma as soon as possible because Christian Sharia law is about to make their lives a living hell.

If Oklahoma state GOP Rep. George Faught has his way, rape will be on the path to being legal in the state. At least that’s what rapists are hoping for after Faught made a frightening statement on the subject during a debate on House Bill 1549, which restricts abortion.

Democratic Rep. Cory Williams masterfully cornered Faught during the hearing by asking him if he believes rape and incest are the “will of God” since the legislation has no exceptions for either, meaning women would be forced to give birth to their rapist’s baby.

Faught’s reply is absolutely appalling and demonstrates once again why women should never vote for Republicans, especially Republicans who want to base our laws on the Bible.

“Well, you know, if you read the Bible, there’s actually a couple circumstances where that happened,” Faught said. “The Lord uses all circumstances. I mean, you can go down that path, but it’s a reality unfortunately.”

Faught literally just used the Bible to justify rape. And then he used it to justify incest.

“Same answer,” Faught replied. Then he argued that Williams’ questions have nothing to do with the bill. Williams vehemently disagreed and explained why.

“You are proffering a divine intervention as the reason why you won’t do that and so I think it is very important,” Williams said before demanding Faught repeat his answer again. “This body wants to know — and myself personally — whether you believe rape and incest are actually the will of God.”

Faught obliged and stated that rape and incest are God’s will because God is sovereign over all activities that happen.

“It’s a great question to ask. And, obviously if it happens in someone’s life, it may not be the best thing that ever happened, but — so you’re saying that God is not sovereign with every activity that happens in someone’s life and can’t use anything and everything in someone’s life and I disagree with that.”

Seriously.

Here’s the video via YouTube.

This is exactly the same kind of statement that Republicans like Rick Santorum and Richard Mourdock made during the 2012 Election.

“I believe and I think the right approach is to accept this horribly created — in the sense of rape — but nevertheless a gift in a very broken way, the gift of human life, and accept what God has given to you,” Santorum said during his run for the presidency. “As you know, we have to, in lots of different aspects of our life. We have horrible things happen. I can’t think of anything more horrible. But, nevertheless, we have to make the best out of a bad situation.”

“I’ve struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize that life is that gift from God,” Mourdock said during his Senate run in Indiana. “And even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.”

Both of these guys think that rape is sanctioned by God and that women should appreciate the “gift” God is giving them by force. It’s disgusting and is the reason why both men lost their races.

And now Faught should be ousted from office as well.

  1. I think the point is that yes, rape is very bad, but should it produce a child, the child itself in God's eyes , is a blessing. If the woman doesn't want to raise the child produced by the rape, there are plenty of people who want to adopt a child. There is no reason to kill a child born in third or even second trimester. By the way, where was the next day pill we used to hear about?
There is plenty of birth control out there, and as a rule, that there is no reason to get pregnant. If you decide to abort before heartbeat, that is your decision. There is absolutely NO REASON to abort a child any later than that.
By the way, my IQ is 138 and I was born and raised in Oklahoma.

God doesn't WILL these things to happen. NOW if you want to talk SATAN, he would be very proud of you and your remarks. God sent his SON to die for your sins, and he doesn't meddle in our lives. These decisions are ours and Satan loves it when we make bad ones. He's thrilled. I'll see you on Judgement day and I hope and pray you will see the light before then.

    • Then you should read your Bible again and see that God allowed abortion for women who were found to have gotten pregnant outside their marriages. If the husband suspected his wife had an affair, he brought his wife to the Temple.
The priest gave the woman a potion, and if she aborted, the baby wasn’t her husband’s; if she didn’t it was his. For all you “Bible-believers”, don’t take my word for it, ask your pastor. Abortion is sanctified in the Bible.

    • Really, so who pays for the rape victims doctor bills office visits missed work, hospital bills? Put your money were your mouth is. I have three foster children how many do you have? Two are special needs. Your part of the problem.

    • Does that apply to incest as well? You would force an 11 or 12 year old CHILD into having a child because they weren’t able to have access to the morning after pill? Do you know what pregnancy and child birth can do to someone that young? Both physically and mentally, I do. Maybe you should volunteer at rape centers or homes for abused or emotionally disabled children. Might open your eyes.

I think you will be the one with a lot to explain on judgement day.

    • Just so you know. Most women don’t even find out they are pregnant until about 8 weeks. And there ARE complications that would justify aborting after a heartbeat. Such as: I simply don’t want a child &/or medical for example that would harm the fetus or mother. Yes there are preventative ways to not get pregnant, BUT they do fail {condoms and the pill are not 100% effective, even when both are used} also, how about NOT raping someone……… Most rape victims are too ashamed {& many other reasons} to go get the help they need after being raped/molested/ect. And that’s ABSOLUTEY none of your business & neither is THEIR body. That’s right, THEIR body. Not yours. THEIR choice. Not yours. THEIR business. Not yours.

    • No one should be making that decision for a woman. Getting raped is devastating but insisting someone carry an unwanted pregnancy because it suits YOU is right down cruel.

  2. J. Helmuth I’m not Republican nor do I reside in Oklahoma. However, I think you gave the best clarity of the statement made by Mr. Faught.
I would like to add that along with free choice comes the ability to receive forgiveness for sin AS LONG AS the request for forgiveness is made with a sincere heart.

    • Really, so who pays for the rape victims doctor bills office visits missed work, hospital bills? Put your money were your mouth is. I have three foster children how many do you have? Two are special needs. Your part of the problem.

  3. People have used God for centuries to justify their own misdeeds. None of it is logical. And the inconsistencies and dichotomies of the bible fairy tales only reinforce that confusion. People pick and choose the stories and words they want, in an attempt to lend credence to their actions, usually actions of oppression or control over others.

  4. Who do you think you are judging all Christians who are republicans over ONE MANS COMMENTS!???
I’m beginning to think you’ve ALL GONE CRAZY!!

  5. I rebuke those lies from Mr. Faught in The name of Jesus. Rape nor incest is the will of God. He should read the part of the Bible like Matthew 12:36 where he is going to be judged for every word that comes out of his mouth. And psalm 101:7 that says a liar will not terry in Gods eyesight. In other words a deceiver will have no place in the kingdom of God. Mr. Faught you are a lying demon.

    • Williams and the writer of this article are guilty of perversion. Mr. Faught absolutely did not say what this writer is implying. Nor what Mr. Williams was saying. I think Marilyn said it better than Mr. Faught. Except the morning after pill is abortion. Because it does not prevent the baby from being conceived or the start of a baby’s being from being formed. All it basically does it the keep the conceived baby from attaching to the womb. Therefore killing the baby. Rape is dead wrong and Mr. Faught never said rape was ok. Nor advocated for rape. Neither did Rick Santorum. Rape is HORRIBLE AND TO BE PUNISHED SEVERELY. BUT the baby is not the perpetrator. The rapist is the perpetrator. Yes it is hard to deal with knowing you’re going to have a baby from a monster(the rapist). But it’s the monster who should be punished. Not the innocent. Ever.

  6. I am an incest/rape surivivor. God allowed it to happen for whatever reason but this is not His will. Murdering babies is not His will either. Period! Just because a child is conceived in rape or incest, which is very rare to happen, does not make it right to kill the baby. Many children have been adopted or even raised by the mother.

  7. Someone needs to check their statistic. Tape and incest is not a rare occurrence. As a matter of fact, it is under reported because of the guilt or shame a female feels after a horrible tragedy like that happens. Our society (which is somewhat changing for the better) has conditioned females to think that somehow it’s their fault it happened and no one will want them after they have been “soiled” by men who follows Satan lust not Gods love.

  8. I am a Christian and a Republican, but those that don't realize that God gave man a will do not understand the sovereignty of God. God is sovereign, but He is not a puppet master. Things happen that are not the will of God because of man's choices. Those things will be judged by God and justice will be satisfied.

As a Republican I cannot endorse this man or others like him. They are using God as an excuse for bad behavior. We still have some idiots in our ranks.

  9. A person that thinks that rape and incest is the will of God had not read the Bible. I understand the assertion of those that believe that abortion is also wrong and the means doesn’t justify this end. I don’t agree with it. I believe it’s the woman’s right to choose whether to have an abortion or not…especially because the rapist has parental rights when it comes to these kids…they have the right to prevent an adoption and also insist on visitation and/or custody rights in many states. I’m not in favor of victimizing the woman any more than she already has..so if she chooses abortion I support that decision and if she chooses to put a child up for adoption or keep the child I support that too. As to aborting after a heart beat develops..many women don’t even know they’re pregnant by the time the heart beat develops. This fetus is not viable just because the heart beat has begun so to me that argument means nothing and that law should be declared unconstitutional.

  10. Most of you seem to be missing the point. What you believe about what your God can do or can’t do, what your God wants or doesn’t want, is moot in a democracy founded and rooted in the separation of church and state. The problem here is that laws should not be based on one elected official’s particular religious beliefs. The debate quoted in the article should take place in a church, not on the floor of a government body determining laws that will be imposed on people of all religions or no religion at all. if your beliefs forbid abortion and you get raped and pregnant, don’t have one. But it is anti-American to force that religious belief on anyone else who doesn’t share it.

  11. Does this guy have any daughters? (According to his Wikipedia article he does indeed have at least one [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Faught ]) I have to wonder if he'd be okay with having her raped and *then* being forced to give birth. Would he happily accept this "gift from God" into his family, or would he immediately put it up for adoption?
