I have predicted that Putin won’t invade Ukraine although in many ways he already has by taking Crimea and now with cyber-attacks and even shelling a kindergarten school.

You can read my earlier forecasts here:

It now appears I may have been wrong about Putin not attacking Ukraine, but certainly his growing intimidation game will continue until (if) he attacks.

The Biden administration has made clear to Putin and the entire world what these Putin ruses are. And by Biden’s constant consultation with NATO allies Putin by his actions has strengthened the resolve of all in NATO to join in making sanctions for Putin really hurt if he invades.

In short, the whole world has gotten timely descriptions of how with his false flag and intensive misinformation are phony excuses for his threatened invasion.

For his own people, he is attempting with heavy propaganda messaging to get them his intended message that the West is responsible for starting this war. Like FOX news facts.

With his reputation well proven by a long history of murderous oppression in his own country including the current trial of his principal internal enemy Alexei Navalny, who may get a long prison sentence for his opposition.

Ironically when or if Putin invades Ukraine he faces the biggest sanction of all—the enmity and the insurrection of the 43 million Ukrainians whose economy and personal lives he will have interdicted.

The American histories of Vietnam (screen the new CNN program about President Johnson “Triumph and Tragedy”) and the Iraq story of George W Bush forecast Putin’s fate as he will kill thousands of innocent civilians on both sides in proving his alleged ephemeral gain of protecting his country’s sagging economy!

Leon Panetta, a moderate Democrat who served effectively and with credibility in numerous high level Federal jobs including Secretary of Defense, advised us this week in a CNN interview to “never give in to a bully”.

There may still be an off ramp for Putin which negotiations can satisfy but Putin himself must already understand the cost to him will only begin with any military invasion of Ukraine.

Hence, it further will prove again that conventional war is not an effective solution to peaceful negotiation.

Troubling thought: How long before our past stupid “defense” wars and our unmanned rocket attacks from here in the US cause a rocket attack on some US icon location such as The White House?
