Church and State

While the extreme Catholics who now control the Supreme Court, their attack on half our population along with a likely Trump downfall, could bring the Trump GOP to a point of serious collapse.
From these House January 6th hearings, a few leading Republicans have shown courage and honesty so utterly lacking in the Trump cabal. These miscreants if needed in the future will not hesitate to inhibit honest electoral outcomes.
The legalistic madness of taking away or making complicated such a basic established right as abortion has seldom been done in our history by the Supreme Court, although the 1860 Dred Scott and the 1896 Separate but equal Court mistakes can be cited.

Will this egregious wrong hopefully suddenly wake up both heretofore somnolent women AND males to the vicious retrograde terrorism represented by Roe and the potential for even more repression by this conservative Supreme Court?
Those increased attacks have already even prompted a possible expansion of restrictions fostered by Justice Clarence Thomas on the LGBTQ community and an attack on contraception. Denials from other members of this court mean nothing.
Recall, as Maine’s Senator Susan Collins vividly has noted, the 3 Trump appointees lied to the Senators at their nominating interrogations about their fealty to Roe’s 49-year precedence (Stare decisis).
“I am a don’t-rock-the-boat kind of judge,” Justice Brett Kavanaugh told Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) in a discussion on Roe, according to notes from a meeting before his confirmation.https://t.co/G3n1wcVPAG

After all, speaking of precedence, their role model nominator, Trump, must have set a Presidential record for prevarication!
Recourse options at this moment for women, particularly for poor minority women, are severely limited.
If prochoice women are married to anti-abortion men, their best recourse is obvious. “No sex, Baby, and you will be hearing from my divorce lawyer”!
The open carry gun decision and now the praying football coach decision by the Supreme Court makes separation of church and state a mockery to these right-wing Catholics. Certainly, this trend is good for lawyers as these decisions will stimulate a lot of legal cases.
BREAKING: Justice Sonia Sotomayor sounds the alarm, warns that the Supreme Court is on a "perilous path" to destroying the "separation between church and state" after they rule in favor of a state school football coach praying on the field. RT TO DEMAND THAT WE EXPAND THE COURT!

Trump, and his GOP’s hypocritical right-wing religious conservatism will exacerbate a sharply divided America much more so!
And as the article below tells us, the GOP is on the march toward more conservatism and mayhem.
The landmark conservative Supreme Court victories this week on abortion and guns capped a year-long string of victories on the right.https://t.co/8XlBG5WMWn

Voting in the midterms gets more and more important and only a GOP drubbing can begin to right our ship of state.
Most significantly, at this dangerous time when focus on the truly more urgent issues of climate and environmental threats will languish. Expert opinion tells us we approach a worldwide precipice of calamitous temperatures after which irretrievable recovery will launch our habitable lives on earth into chaos.
Perfect example of why disaster looms can be found in the 6/27/22 Washington Post articles on the new oil exploration project Biden may approve in pristine Alaska and a Post story of wildfires happening there earlier and larger as more of the vital tundra melts.

This latter global point of pending world disaster I will be making in more detail in my new book, entitled “Can Homo Sapiens Survive?”, soon will be available on Amazon. Excess human numbers empowered these horrific conditions, as many prominent experts have long argued, but now the bill for our excesses has come due and will shortly be unavoidably obvious to all of us.
