Clearly, one big goal of the conservative Christian base is to one day strip women of their right to vote and confine them solely to the home.

And that’s exactly what Arizona pastor Steven Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church preached to his congregation in a video he uploaded to YouTube.

In this latest rant, Anderson goes full misogynist, whining about women being able to divorce their husbands, having the right to vote, and having a job outside of the home, all of which he believes only men should have the ability to do.

“You know what they mean [by women’s rights]?” Anderon asked his flock.

“The right to divorce your husband is what they mean. You know what they mean? The right to rebel and disobey your husband, the right to divorce him, the right to go out and get a job and make your own money, the right to tell him what to do, the right to go vote for our leaders as if women should have any say in how our country is run when the Bible says that “I suffer not a woman to teach, not to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence”?

I AM QUOTING THE BIBLE RIGHT NOW!

But it’s old-fashioned…”

Here’s the video via YouTube.

This isn’t the first time Anderson has been a total dick towards women. He once went on a rant about how women shouldn’t be allowed to read, talk, or leave the house without permission from a man. He has even demanded that women keep their mouths shut in church, which makes one wonder how any woman can stand being around this asshole.

And he is hardly the first conservative “Christian” hero to call for banning women from voting. Fake historian David Barton has also said that women should be barred from voting because the Bible says that only the head of the household should be allowed to vote on the family’s behalf, regardless of what policies or candidates the rest of the family supports.

And Republican presidential candidates, from Ted Cruz to Trump to Rubio to Kasich, haven’t exactly made it a secret that they have a general disdain for women. All of them have made it clear that women’s rights will suffer should any of them become president. And it’s because of preachers like Anderson on the Christian right that Republicans have adopted such medieval beliefs about women, which is why it is even more important than ever before that every woman in this country exercise their right to vote. Because if they don’t, they may not have that right much longer if conservatives have their way.

  1. It is too late pal. We, men, have brought women too far for the sake of our lust. It is not going to happen in this life. We exploited them far too long. it is their time to get even. Now you can't have a football game without girls showing their lower lips. You also can't have Boxing match without lower lips and buttocks twisting young girls. You also can't have tennis matches without briefs. it is women on display with all her trappings—-just for men. How many fronts you are going to fight on? You will die fighting a losing war. GIVE UP!
They have bigger clout than men now. It is the demon created by us the men. It is not going to go back in the bottle anymore. stop dreaming live the life as it is, instead of trying to cage them do your work, I do not blame women since it is our fault. Moreover, they are not defunct part of the humanity. They have been consulted and employed in various functions to excel, even in intellectual dispensations. Convince them with reason and logic if you can get to that level to be effective.

  2. He should not even be classed as a Christian. Jesus would not agree with any of what he says. He had quite high regard for women in spite of the culture of the day which suppressed them.

  3. How can you say Jesus wouldn't agree with God's words? Aren't they the same! The reason Christians respect women and minorities is because they are more moral than the bible. Humanity is better off without religion. Just let it go sheeple!

    • No they’re not. Jesus spoke to prostitutes. One of his more faithful followers was a prostitute. And you know who the first person he appeared to after he rose again? This very same prostitute, Mary Magdalene. The early church had female deacons. It got screwed up along the way.

      • Well, actually, only part of this is true. Mary Magdalene was not a prostitute. She was actually a well to do woman from the town of Magdalena. It was actually a mistake by a bishopor a priest (can’t remember) who made the mistake of classifying her a protitute. Apparently, the sections of the Bible with scriptures describing Mary Magdelene were right next to scripture describing a prostitute and the bishop got them mixed up, and that is how poor Mary Magdelene got characterized as a prostitute. Go figure, men are idiots! Most of our problems with men wanting to suppress women, and using the Bible to back them up can be blamed on the men who wrote the Bible. During the early centuries, men suppressed women and wanted to keep it that way. Maybe God inspired the Bible , but actual men wrote it. We need to remember that! Remember Peter, who was outraged that Jesus shared his most ardent secrets with Mary Magdelene, and wanted her to lead the church, and Peter was outraged that a woman should be the leader of the church!! Big fight and look who won!

  4. Science has now proven that men are in fact women first — and then the male grows out of the female after the chromosomes do their thing…this preacher is a sociopath.
