According to televangelist Pat Robertson, by not expressly condemning homosexuality at the federal level, the United States is setting itself on a course towards being “vomited out” by God.

Citing Leviticus 18’s condemnation of homosexual activity, bestiality, and incest, Robertson plainly stated that it is an “abomination” for people to engage in homosexuality. “Those who do that, in the Old Testament, were stoned to death,” he added.

“The nations who were doing these things were vomited out of the land and the land vomited them out,” he warned, seemingly suggesting that the United States is on a path to become such a nation that condones “abominable” sexual behavior.

“For some reason now the Supreme Court has said homosexuality is now a constitutional right and this homosexual marriage decision that was handed down recently by the majority glorifies this activity and talks about the civil rights and all this,” he continued. “Well, the Bible didn’t talk about civil rights it talked about this was an offense against God and it was an offense against the land and the land would vomit you out.”

He asked his 700 Club viewers to take out their Bibles and read it for themselves. “Which is going to take precedence: the Supreme Court of the United States or the holy word of God?” he asked in conclusion.

  1. Senile old coot should have his fully loaded diaper pulled over his empty head and be dumped in a nursing home. Where he can sit and fester, watching the Kardashians, until he is found moribund and then trucked off to be disposed of like garbage.

  2. I read the bible. I also believe in a benevolent God.
1 John 4:10 This is love. Not that we love God, but that he loves us.
Not some of us. Not only those of us who were born the right color, or who love the right kind of person.
That he loves us. Full stop. No conditions.
Remember, not too long ago the bible was used to justify condemning Africans as being “children of Ham” and therefore unworthy of God’s love. That thinking was just as wrong as this.

  3. Pat Robertson is a morally corrupt individual who relies on scare tactics to keep people believing his lies. The bible verses that he interprets are very old, in a different language and have been translated and interpreted by others many times over. It is like telling a joke and passing it on, by the time 10 people have heard it, it has changed. He wants money donated to his 700 Club, and to that end he tries to keep people subservient to him by scaring them into submission with threats of Hell. That being said, I wonder how many illicit sexual encounters he has had, and is he without sin that he can sit in judgement of others?
