Why? Bacause failure to convict after the impeccable case for the rule of law made over the past two days by Jamie Raskin and his colleagues will allow a vicious tyrant like Trump to run again and lose again and again intimidate his Republican base.

There are many echoes here of Hitler’s rise in the early 1930’s.

After Raskin and his colleagues presented, the Trump lawyers were so aware of its conclusive proof that they will be quick to end their defense as the numerous Republican Senators stand ready to acquit this felon so he can continue to urge his racial bigots to intimidate our elected officials into failing to eliminate his cancer from our political process.
