The scientific truth from the Attenboroughs of the world that the Earth cannot sustain habitable life even for its present 8 billion humans and the countless other animals and plants humans are now overconsuming is now proven beyond doubt.
Such news sadly does not seem to appear on most human radars, but it’s evidence appears daily in worldwide mass media stories of violence, mayhem and shortages of all kinds over which humans naturally contend with increasing intensity.
What now? Since 25 percent of GOP voters now seem willing to ignore credible data so of course they may all be likely to ignore the fact of my above initial paragraph just as they refuse to wear face masks and still think Trump is great for undermining our democracy with his big lie.
Sadly more credible and powerful leaders such as our own President or China’s Chi and most others don’t fully get Attenborough’s message either!
Bottom line: Fixing—is that possible?—the climate crisis alone won’t solve the population crisis.
Only making the means of birth control to everyone can gradually, voluntarily and peacefully reduce human numbers to sustainable levels.

Facing the above facts, we know about the long opposition from religion and the addiction of commercial interests to endless growth.
Here’s my take on how to talk to both of these previously intransigent constituencies!
By Widely Informing Religionists And Commercial Interests That They Could Be Planatary Saviors!!
For years those of us who fought for reproductive choice faced constant resistance from religions, particularly for example Roman Catholics about easing abortion restrictions.
Offering women contraceptive choice was also opposed vigorously by many religious people.
Now, as proof of planetary survival and/or wellbeing has been put in serious jeopardy by credible scientific information, would these pushers of their special credos of faith find the morality of saving the whole planet with all its creatures both human, animal and natural a basis for reevaluation of their governing behavior?
Likewise faced with irrefutable fact about where human life on planet earth is headed, wouldn’t the kind of irresponsible greed and focus on wealth’s ability to gain temporal power lose a huge measure of its appeal? In both cases I can hear you say, “Probably not.”
Possible Positive Answer: It only will happen in substantial numbers if these constituencies believed this now serious scientifically proven fact of urgent planetary people limitation.
And judging from our inability to “sell” that burgeoning story for decades why am I very optimistic about selling its credibility now?
Because so many people from all over our finite globe have arrived at a new understanding of the unacceptable consequences of doing nothing!
