Scared yet? Awake yet? Family member dead yet?

When will we wake up from the Trump nightmare?

Don’t expect indicting Trump to clear the way to saving our democracy.

There’s only one solution in a working republic: Voting the bastards OUT!

But how long will the window to that solution stay open as Republican state legislatures want to take us back to a modern edition of Jim Crow by replacing nonpolitical poll professionals with Republican yes people.

No wonder this July 3, 2022 Post headline by David Ignatius grabbed me:“Nearly every American has a foreboding the country they love is losing its way”

Read his article here.

Meanwhile the Trump’s Supreme Court plans more withdrawals of freedom as its ideological majority is in place for years to come.

Read here what experts see ahead in the Supreme Court’s next year’s agenda and realize how little time we have to fix their coming tyranny!

Here are quote from the above which should frighten everyone:

My colleague Adam Liptak, who covers the Supreme Court, describes the five Republican-appointed justices besides Chief Justice John Roberts as “an impatient, ambitious majority.”

They have largely rejected Roberts’s more cautious approach of deciding cases narrowly and shifting the law slowly. The five instead prefer to set American law as they believe it should be set, even when they must overrule longstanding precedent. To do otherwise, they believe, is dishonest.

After the court overturned Roe v. Wade on Friday, one obvious question was: What other legal changes might soon be coming? Initial attention has focused on the possibility that the court may soon restrict L.G.B.T. rights, contraception access or interracial marriage. All those issues involve some of the same logic that led to the abortion decision, as both Justice Clarence Thomas and the three liberal justices pointed out in their writings accompanying the decision.

How about term limits for SC Justices as for all government officials? No chance with the kind of MAGA GOP we now have.

The next House Committee’s January 6th hearings will doubtless produce further damning evidence, but will Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice indict soon enough? Or ever? But we already know enough to never let Trump serve in office again.

Trump and his GOP henchmen are fond of quoting from our Constitution. Here’s one Constitutional Amendment which might apply to many of them, but certainly to the former President:

Constitution of the United States of America
Fourteenth Amendment Section 3.

No person shall be a senator, or representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House remove such disability.

Trump’s key lawyer, Pat Cipollone, finally has agreed to testify “behind closed doors” under oath on July 7th, which is positive. Will he confirm in his private testimony what Cassidy Hutchinson told us under oath on Tuesday, June 28th? When will we get to know about his testimony?

I think a term from my US Navy days applies here that our country’s freedoms are “in the bight”, which means in a noose, which should remind us of “hang Mike Pence” as the insurrectionists took over our Capitol while Trump tried to join them.

What more evidence is needed to get your vote.

Time is running out, Folks!
