This October 13th was another historic day in which positive, absolute not, possible to dismiss proof that Donald Trump was the master instigator of January 6th.
Our fragile democracy was inches from being overwhelmed if VP Mike Pence, long just a Trump toady, had not decided to count the electoral votes after the riot subsided.
Partisan? Never! Unique in our history is Trump’s criminality!
Where and when will the Justice department indict?
The Committee’s subpoena of Trump won’t be answered with his appearance, but it was a dramatic reminder that his blustering lying was never done under oath.
Read here about the subpoena.

As AOL reports:
The House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol voted Thursday to subpoena former President Donald Trump over his role in the insurrection.
The panel voted unanimously — with two Republicans, Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, joining the panel’s seven Democrats — to call Trump to testify.
“It is our obligation to seek Donald Trump’s testimony,” said the panel’s chair, Sen. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss. “Donald Trump is the one man at the center of [Jan. 6], so we want to hear from him, the committee needs to do everything in our power to tell the most complete story possible.”

When will not only Trump but also Roger Stone, Rudy Giuliani, General Flynn, John Eastman and Mark Meadows be put on trial? Bet many of them and others join Bannon on the docket?
Even if Republicans win the House on November 8th and this January 6th Committee is disbanded, the typical Trump playbook of extended litigation likely cannot outrun the two years left in the Biden Administration as the various charges keep building on this historic multiple traitor to our country.
His base may continue to stay in their fog of fantasy but most Americans of both parties will continue to see Trump and hopefully his proxies like Florida Governor DeSantis as echoes of evil from his GOP which offers no governance, racist bias, anti-choice religiosity and is working hard at the dismantling of the basic structures of our country which is keeping our votes honestly counted.
These extended January 6th hearings will now and in history be seen as either a major cleanup of the mess we are in or a start down the path to a banana republic.
Again, the upcoming midterm elections will give us clues about which path we will choose.
