The ludicrous news of Trump’s trading card offer to his base can be read here.
Some of Trump's own aides were cringing at the release of the NFTs, which is diverting money that could be donated to the Trump campaign to Trump personally @MichaelCBender and me https://t.co/zf9NIRI5DU

While DeSantis and other GOP Presidential hopefuls may be delighted, the reality of the GOP’s attacks on American citizens will be more and more evident when the GOP takes control of the US House of Representatives in January.
The GOP has yet to offer a plan for governance other than making attacks on Biden and his family and continuing to pursue its stated racist authoritarianism policies.
My recent Op Ed pieces have listed the specific GOP tyrannical actions which affect our human rights.

None are more important than the burgeoning uprising among women about the effects of the June 24th Dobbs decision to withdraw the national rights for women to obtain safe, affordable, convenient abortions.
Our former now Superman trading card President made that new tyranny happen with his 3 Supreme Court choices.
In so doing Trump profoundly changed the political climate.
Not immediately apparent perhaps, but as women from both parties realize the importance for their whole families of this religiously motivated heresy, there will be significant voter reactions.
Remember the powerful women’s drives for voting rights and contraception options and, yes, abortion rights under Roe.
The out of touch, out of human steps GOP leadership is going to cause their party to pay a big, even terminal political price.
As odious to many voters as the weak backed Congressional GOP members who caved to Trump, people are now even more frightened to hear GOP Congress woman Marjorie Taylor Greene say if she had overseen the January 6th insurrection it would have succeeded in keeping Trump in office!!
Immigration has been the main attack issue for the GOP but as the front-page December 16th Washington Post article headline tells us “Migrant shortfall hampers economy: Lack of foreign-born workers accounts for half of missing labor force”.
The story’s first paragraph is instructive:
Alonzo Arteaga’s title is general manager of a small hotel in Topeka, Kan. But these days, he doubles as a housekeeper, making beds, vacuuming floors and laundering towels to fill an ever-worsening worker shortage.
Like other businesses around the country, Senate Luxury Suites is struggling to keep going without critical employees. The hotel is down to three housekeepers, half the number it had before the pandemic, and Arteaga blames a years-long immigration slowdown, which he says has made an already tough situation worse.
“It’s been three years of trying absolutely everything,” said Arteaga, who has raised pay by about $3 an hour and offers discounted monthly rates to employees. “It feels like the workers really aren’t there.”

Economists estimate that “two years of lost immigration” is responsible for close to half of the 3.5 million workers missing from the labor force. https://t.co/nl1zusMjgD

How about stacking the deck on voting rights for minorities?
Phones were ringing in Detroit, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and on the line was a robocall with an ominous campaign message: If you want to vote by mail, it warned, your personal information will be turned over to the police and to debt collectors.
The call played on crude racial stereotypes and was blatantly false — but dishonesty was the point. Whoever engineered it apparently wanted to sow confusion and fear among people of color in Democratic strongholds before the Nov. 3 presidential election. Far from an aberration, UC Berkeley scholars say, the robocall was just one flashpoint in a wider campaign playing out in courtrooms, legislative chambers and political communication in battleground states and nationwide.
The objective, pursued by Republicans in a seeming war of attrition, is to use a range of tactics and tools to reduce the number of votes cast by people of color, swinging a close election to incumbent President Donald Trump and away from Democrat Joe Biden.

Of course, that means that Trump’s GOP MAGA mostly white supporters are far from alone in their concerns about being replaced by non-white immigrants.
Right wing Roman Catholic Supreme Court Justices brought down Roe and are apparently thinking of attacking contraception and LBGTQ rights in their next term.
The Washington Post’s headline for its 12/14/22 article is:
Conservatives complain abortion bans not enforced, want jail time for pill ‘trafficking’
Six months after their Supreme Court victory, conservatives complain that strict new laws are not being sufficiently enforced
Read specifics here.
Anti-abortion advocates are pushing for a carceral crackdown on abortion pills, including:
•Laws censoring websites that promote medication abortion
•Imprisonment for anyone who "traffics" pills into red states
•Persuading a DA to prosecute a test casehttps://t.co/L7FVcQTa5G— Mark Joseph Stern (@mjs_DC) December 15, 2022
These Trump trading cards may undermine some support from his faithful base, but certainly as he becomes a laughingstock his chance for his nomination for President in 2024 is gone.
Trump got ridiculed on CNN’s 12/16/22 morning show and we will quickly see many other GOP operatives bailing out on Trump for 2024.
All these above tyrannies can count on big money from ideological donors such as Leonard Leo who has over a billion in grants to elect politicians who will follow the present GOP policies.
This article gives specifics on his plans:
A dedicated minority of conservative activists has been working for decades to dismantle Roe v. Wade. One man in particular has played a big role in that effort: Leonard Leo. https://t.co/yhFXQRXRnM

As I have pointed out before, the symbolism of Roe’s killing radiates into all the tyrannical positions the GOP embraces.
Is the GOP with all this Trump initiated bad baggage going to go away? No, nor are its policies, but the party of Abraham Lincoln has flipped into one favoring various forms of ideological slavery whose candidates most voters will reject.
2024 looms as a benchmark election in this new Civil War! As Lincoln said at Gettysburg we will be “testing whether this nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure”.
