The 3/28th shooting at another elementary school killed 3 nine-year old children, 2 school staffers and a substitute teacher again gave us another seemingly endless story of tragedy with likely no GOP congressional action forthcoming.

Biden said he has no authority to do more to prevent more of the same violence and that Congress must act with strong new laws.

Again, no GOP action on producing a budget to discuss after Biden has submitted his.

Let’s go down the long list of GOP failures to serve voters.

But first let’s repeat that Trump’s ignominious career is on the way down and the GOP leaders know that they can’t win with him in 2024. Even though his MAGA 30 percent don’t care, the money and the greed and the power lie elsewhere and foreclose his nomination. The Trump show continues with embarrassing impact, as the GOP hopefuls like Ron DeSantis, a believer in Trump issues such as pro life and no gun reform, brazenly come forward claiming freedom, which is really obscene license.

Let’s get back to basics. How about just paying our already incurred debts by raising the National Debt limit. The GOP wants more talks between Biden and Kevin McCarthy the latter who blames Biden’s plan without any budget one from the GOP.

Both parties have kept over many years just raising the debt limit, but not doing so now will be catastrophic for us and the world economy. So, more circus media talk and in the end raising the debt limit.

To talk about reducing a national debt spawned to its present dangerous size by both greedy parties over decades would be constructive, but the current French example of cutting promised retirement benefits scares both parties even as long-term default is certain without adjustment.

It reminds us of another worse parallel failure to limit human numbers to stem the already occurring 6th Extinction which scientists assure us will come home to roost with vicious impact by 2100.

Other GOP goals most voters are against include attacking abortion choice (even with pills long proven safe by the FDA), cutting voting options for minorities, fostering more racism by seeking to make the USA a Christian nationalist nation which would try to install false doctrines such as Critical Race Theory and fears of replacement by nonwhite minorities.

There are currently many Republicans running or thinking of running for President, but they all know Trump’s MAGA 30% faithful imposes a tall obstacle.

But these candidates all bring Trumpian policies which most independents and Democrats will reject in 2024.

The GOP in short offers nothing but blocks to freedom while pretending they stand for freedom.

And a frightening number of GOP voters want Trump back!

Trump’s March 30th indictment in NYC likely won’t lose votes from his MAGA 30%. He’s already raising $4million from his supporters. Many Americans are wondering if justice will ever be done with Trump.

While GOP disarray means 2024 losses, this imbalance is not good for democracy or a lessening of the ideological divisions or leading to healing between the parties,

Let’s take stock. Basic things need done and elected government members are paid to do them. Here’s a short list of improbable things which would be good to do.

Hope the dissident members of the GOP will form a new major party.
Raise the age when young Americans get to receive Social Security.
Will we ban assault guns and raise the age when minors can buy guns.
Outlawing the ownership of AR-15s.
Cancel the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution.
Enact a new Roe without any limit to when women can abort during pregnancy.
Ensure LBGTQ rights.
Make Washington DC a state.

Our whole earth keeps on a losing track as the Ukraine war, climate and immigration issues accumulate and impinge upon our future? The growth of human numbers ensure that more people will want to migrate to the USA and other countries that offer stable democratic governance. Sadly, here in the US in a second Civil War and can only fix this at the ballot box. Thus the 2024 election is the most important since the first Civil War.

The biggest of the above-named issues remains the forlorn hope of getting world leaders to take urgent action on the forces driving the world to the 6th Extinction.
