Why Do GOP Women Favor Male Control Of Abortion? Do Most Don’t?

When I see women out on picket lines with pro-life signs, I am wondering what message makes them opt for male control of their bodies.

If they want to have a baby no one is saying don’t have one!

Since the Guttmacher Institute reports 45% of US pregnancies every year are unintended, women should want full control over their options.

After all fetal matter is not legally a baby before it is born at whatever time in pregnancy.

It is puzzling that more and more women in every party and every state aren’t screaming at this male attempt to control their most private right to have or NOT have a baby.

Violence can be a reason. Recall the recent case of the Texas woman killed by her boyfriend after she returned home after she got a safe abortion in Colorado. Are prolife men cheering?

Read here the May 23rd Washington Post article entitled As S.C. abortion vote nears, GOP women rebuke the men: ‘It’s always about control’!

Two South Carolina Senators who share an office suite are at odds over the pending legislation to limit abortions to 6 weeks. The male agrees, the woman says how about 12 weeks!

Both are ridiculous, but a rising tide of women who, like this woman SC Senator, understand, as she states in this article, this is a continuing plot by men to control them.

In fact, even in saying that, she and many other women still don’t get the message that no law should stand between women and their MDs at any time in their pregnancies.

As is getting obvious now that abortion will be a pivotal issue in the 2024 election and the MAGA GOP will try to throw sops to women heading toward 2024.

For example, SC Senator Tim Black in trying to separate himself from the far right, announced his candidacy for President and has said he could see 20 weeks as reasonable.

Now he says he has no opinion on the issue of how many weeks of pregnancy would he endorse but he will go along with whatever his male dominated party decides!

As noted, this choice issue symbolizes the GOP tyrannical opposition to personal freedom and urgently needed reforms on voting rights, gun control, immigration and racism against anybody not religious, straight or the right ethnicity!

Are too many women confused at this political intransigence? Obviously!

The GOP seems to only be controlled by men who care about nothing but power and glory and the right to anything they want. Who does that remind you of? Several names come to mind.
