Adolph Hitler and his wife of one day Eva Braun committed suicide in Berlin on April 6, 1945. The enormity of his evil impact on the world hopefully will never be forgotten. Or has it? We are told Trump adopted a major Hitler principle, among many as Robert Reich’s TV film explained. First cozen the unwary or the greedy or the stupid and then Identify enemies and promise to root them out—like Jews.
Read this November 13th Washington Post article entitled “Trump reminds us: History also repeats when people take the wrong lessons”.
Its author Phillp Bump tells us
The story of Trump’s tenure in national politics has been that he — often coarsely — seizes on symbols of American patriotism while showing little understanding of what they represent or the traditions they embody.” For example, Trump didn’t know what 13 strips on the American flag stood for.
The column tells about Trump’s speech on Veterans’ Day weekend, when he promised “he would target his perceived opponents as though they were disease-carrying animals.” He wrote on social media post in a statement reminiscent of Senator Joe McCarthy “In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran’s Day,” we pledge to you that “we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our Country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American Dream. The threat from outside forces,” he added, “is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave, than the threat from within.
Read this revealing history of Trump’s effective methods.
Trump has a habit of seizing upon narratives he likes — including from autocrats and fascists — while ignoring the repercussions.

Hitler’s rise to power bears close similarities with the methods which have been employed by Donald Trump in his rise to President and his subsequent actions which have led to the unbelievable possibility of his election to a 2nd term in 2024!
How could such a condition develop in the world’s wealthiest nation with its long rooted democracy? My reaction is one of anger at those weak, greedy, spineless elected GOP members of Congress who even now sit back and watch the nomination of a totally unfit, dangerous felon to be President of the United States!!!! Then cower in their seats hoping to get bailed out if Trump’s own outrageous remarks derail is almost certain nomination.
Is there is any remorse from those GOP traitors who will nominate this former President to run on the 2024 Republican ticket knowing he could be a convicted felon for major multiple crimes. In fact, based on the already disclosed facts about his attempts at Electoral College fraud and his network of allies already convicted of criminal behavior such as Sidney Powell, Trump’s guilt is evident.
Read here about the fake Electoral College scheme:
Trump and his co-conspirators allegedly produced fake electoral votes cast by fake electors in 7 states, in hopes of getting these votes counted instead of the real ones.

The squealers are surfacing as I have been predicting. Read here the fact that Trump told others he did not plan to leave the White House after losing the 2020 election.

One needs a score card to follow the multiple legal charges now pending against Trump which you can read about here.
The legal and harsh verbal attacks creating a massive back and forth between our two major parties have produced a situation which Trump initiated and fostered to create an environment where the kind of voter dissatisfaction could be used to undermine our democracy by attacking the government, media and social institutions which support it!
It is worth noting that this history of tearing down the distinguished history of our government in helping forward our democracy actually began with Ronald Reagan whose famous quote when he repeated this previous statement at a news conference in Illinois in 1986 said “I think you all know that the nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and here to help”. Perhaps he forgot the many government agencies which protect our health, our national parks, our personal safety, etc, etc, etc but that Reagan remark set the GOP political posture for destructive politicians like Newt Gingrich and on to George W. Bush and Donald Trump so our national unity, trust in our institutions has been systematically ravaged by false claims for decades.
His claims of fraud in the 2020 Presidential election have been long unsubstantiated, but Trump’s claims of 2020 election fraud continue.
You doubtless already have read from extensive news stories some of the actions Trump proposes if reelected in the way of retribution and his promised plan to all his key appointees Yes Men who will do his bidding without question to support him in whatever his further efforts are to establish his authoritarian regime.
Read below only two examples of the many published by credible media:
Trump's plans if he returns to the White House include deportation raids, tariffs and mass firings https://t.co/aitbzq5xJd

Clearly if ever Trump gets his proper comeuppance, it is unlikely to involve a replay of Hitler’s end or even his serving time in jail because of the way our justice system has broken down!
