Biden Takes The High Road To Step Down To Great Applause And Endorses Harris As His Successor!!!

Biden’s Sunday July 21st decision at about 2 pm to step down from his quest for a 2nd term as he remained cloistered with COVID in his New Jersey shore home immediately produced a rush on CNN of highly complementary comments about his career and his successful Presidency.

Other views of all stripes have already massively emerged!

In his letter he asked that his VP Kamala Harris be considered as the Presidential nominee at the upcoming DNC in August in Chicago which wisely said she would work hard to earn the nomination instead of assuming it would be already a done deal as the result of Biden’s blessing. Very politically astute.

Harris will appeal to the audiences Biden needs most: youth, minorities and suburban women. Further she has served under Biden, whose mentoring has augmented her solid experience as Senator and as a prosecutor, which by the way must have Trump quaking, as if he loses those cases won’t go away.

Obviously, he recognized the growing adverse polling numbers but we note his loyalty to his country which is under huge peril.

Now only one old man is in the running for a second term! Trump’s RNC acceptance speech forecasted again why he must be defeated.

On CBS Face the Nation in the morning before Biden’s dramatic announcement, West Virginia Senator Manchin said youth was now needed and that he was totally confident of his old close friend Biden’s mental health and hoped would use Harris to take the bulk of the heavy campaigning for Biden as his role should be providing the weight of his wisdom and experience to the extent of his physical ability.

After Biden’s 2 pm announcement, Manchin, age 76, promptly released the fact he was considering running for President. As President Truman noted if you want a friend in Washington buy a dog.

After several tumultuous weeks of Democratic panic and Republican ecstasy the RNC closed on July 18th after nominating Trump. Instead of taking the high road with his acceptance speech, Trump gave the first minutes to talking about unity and then reverted to his typical stump speech that repeated the litany of lies and complaints which was over an hour long and put the RNC almost sleep.

Trump’s address, the longest convention speech in modern history at just under 93 minutes, marked the climax and conclusion of a massive four-day Republican pep rally that drew thousands of conservative activists and elected officials to swing-state Wisconsin as voters weigh an election that currently features two deeply unpopular candidates. Sensing political opportunity in the wake of his near-death experience, the often bombastic Republican leader embraced a new tone he hopes will help generate even more momentum in an election that appears to be shifting in his favor.

While he spoke in a gentler tone than at his usual rallies, Trump also outlined an agenda led by what he promises would be the largest deportation operation in U.S. history. He repeatedly accused people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally of staging an “invasion.” Additionally, he teased new tariffs on trade and an “America first” foreign policy.

Trump also falsely suggested Democrats had cheated during the 2020 election he lost — despite a raft of federal and state investigations proving there was no systemic fraud — and suggested “we must not criminalize dissent or demonize political disagreement,” even as he has long called for prosecutions of his opponents.

He did not mention abortion rights, an issue that has bedeviled Republicans ever since the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a federally guaranteed right to abortion two years ago. Trump nominated three of the six justices who overturned Roe v. Wade. Trump at his rallies often takes credit for Roe being overturned and argues states should have the right to institute their own abortion laws.
