The Milwaukee RN Convention is rocking and rolling with enthusiasm about the political gifts to Trump making the attendees confident of Trump wining a second term and potentially gaining control of Congress!
The list goes on with apparently no RNC concern since the elevation to the Godhead status of the nearly slain Trump.
1. Supreme Court immunity gift!
2. Judge Cannon’s dismissal of the classified documents case
3. JD Vance’s claim that Biden is to blame for Trump’s assassination attempt!
4. The constant repetition of old Trump lies!
5. Trump’s continual denial of guilt for any obvious crimes!
6. High hopes Trump’s NYC felony conviction can be cancelled.
7. Trump’s convictions which call for nearly $500 million in fines.
Then add Trump’s potential actions on weakening our NATO alliance, expanding restrictions on abortion choice, ignoring global warming, dismissing more gun control—MR 15s are okay even after the Trump shooting—threatening immigrants’ with deportation, promising retribution to enemies, and implementing Heritage’s Project 2025 plans to dismantle our Federal government including closing the Department of Education.
The architects of Trump's Project 2025 have their plans.

Biden’s Democratic detractors continue their demands that Biden step down, but so far are offering no plausible plan that polls show would be better than a Biden Harris ticket! Trump is reportedly very happy to have Biden as the top of the ticket.
My not likely widely shared opinion is that when voters not already committed to either old man go to vote there will be a substantial swing to Biden.
The attempted assassination of Trump may well have changed the way electioneering will go, but Biden’s public appearances lately should encourage Democrats to decide the ticket is in place, allowing them to tell voters of the above truths about what will come with a Trump election.
NY Times columnist Paul Krugman warns us in his July 15 Op Ed entitled “Don’t Lose Sight of Project 2025. That’s the Real Trump” when writes,
For anyone new to this: Project 2025 is a blueprint by and for some of Trump’s close allies, put together by the Heritage Foundation, to ensure that if Trump wins in November, MAGA will hit the ground running. It seeks to provide “both a governing agenda and the right people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on day one of the next conservative administration.” The particulars are laid out in a roughly 900-page document, “Mandate for Leadership,” with specific action plans for many parts of the federal government.
How radical is the Project 2025 agenda? Earlier this month, Kevin Roberts, Heritage’s president, said that the country is in the midst of a “second American Revolution” that will be bloodless “if the left allows it to be.”
Republicans seem, however, to have belatedly realized that much of what’s in Project 2025, especially its multipronged attack on reproductive rights, is deeply unpopular. Trump has tried to distance himself from the project, claiming last week that he knows “nothing” about it, even though quite a few of the people who’ve worked on it are former Trump officials and aides, and even though in 2022 Trump told a Heritage conference that its people were “going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do.”
More generally, since Trump has never shown himself to be a policy wonk, there’s every reason to believe that if he wins he will, as he did in his first term, leave a lot of the granular policymaking to people who do sweat the details — so it’s more than reasonable to think of Project 2025 as a guide to what could happen in a second Trump term.
What would that mean? There are many, many things to object to in Project 2025, but I’d argue that the most important thing is right at the front, in the section titled “Taking the Reins of Government.” There’s a lot in this section, but it basically calls for replacing much of the federal work force, which consists mainly of career civil servants somewhat insulated from partisan pressures, with political appointees who can be hired or fired at will.
Trump actually made a significant move in this direction near the end of his presidency, issuing an executive order that created a category of political appointee, Schedule F, which would have allowed the replacement of many career officials with partisan loyalists. President Biden rescinded that order, but Project 2025 would bring it back in some form — probably on a much larger scale.
I encourage you to read the entire article here.

Earlier this year on March 7th in a NY Times opinion piece entitled “Reminder: Trump’s Last Year in Office Was a National Nightmare” Krugman cautioned voters to recall the last year of Trump’s Presidency which the GOP’s current propaganda attempts to whitewash. He begins,
One of the amazing political achievements of Republicans in this election cycle has been their ability, at least so far, to send Donald Trump’s last year in office down the memory hole. Voters are supposed to remember the good economy of January 2020, with its combination of low unemployment and low inflation, while forgetting about the plague year that followed.
Since Trump’s romp in the Super Tuesday primaries, however, the ex-president and his surrogates have begun trying to pull off an even more impressive act of revisionism: portraying his entire presidency — even 2020, that awful first pandemic year — as pure magnificence. On Wednesday, Representative Elise Stefanik, the chair of the House Republican Conference, tried echoing Ronald Reagan: “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?”
And Trump himself, in his Tuesday night victory speech, reflected wistfully on his time in office as one in which “our country was coming together.”
So let’s set the record straight: 2020 — the fourth quarter, if you will, of Trump’s presidency — was a nightmare. And part of what made it a nightmare was the fact that America was led by a man who responded to a deadly crisis with denial, magical thinking and, above all, total selfishness — focused at every stage not on the needs of the nation but on what he thought would make him look good.”

My own advice to voters remains consistent as Krugman’s. The constant undermining by Trumps and his cohorts, many who have been jailed, to gain power by destroying citizens faith in our government and private sector organizations such as our free press has brought us to a critical place in American history.
Survival of our democracy now rests on defeating Donald Trump, whose primary motivation must be to win a 2nd term to avoid prosecution mainly for his primary felony, the coup. The 2020 Presidential election has been conclusively proven to have occurred without fraud, which Trump and a majority of the MAGA GOP continue to deny. Thus, his attempting to prevent Biden, the winner of the 2020 election, from assuming the Presidency should be proven in court which could send Trump to jail, despite the substantial impediments imposed on his conviction by the corrupt Supreme Court’s immunity decision. If he wins, he pardons himself, but he still will be the only President in history to have been so convicted. Who knows, Trump also might get to be President for life like his pal Putin and so many other dictators.
