Many times over the past several years, I have suggested that the behavior of this president deserves what I advocate for.
While there seems to be no appetite for recognition of our constitution and our right of free speech by the gutless GOP and its majority in Congress, with the removal of Kimmel at the instigation of the chairman of the FCC on September 17, we must again scream for justice and legal action.
Again, we cannot expect that gutless GOP elected officials to do anything but disgracefully refusing to recognize the enormous step that the Kimmel withdrawal represents.
Stephen Colbert: "After threats from Trump's FCC chair, ABC yanked Jimmy Kimmel off the air indefinitely. That is blatant censorship…With an autocrat, you can't give an inch. If ABC thinks this is going to satisfy the regime, they are woefully naïve." pic.twitter.com/LpRFOE7kOS

This attack on all media parallels the attack. Trump has made on all the significant institutions in our society, including Harvard, cower institutions, such as the JFK center, where he appointed himself chairman, and his use of abusive language to attack his perceived enemies in what he advertises as a second term devoted to retribution against those enemies.
All American citizens should understand the informality of what has just happened with the Kimmel situation, as it is completely parallel with all the previous actions. Trump has been using steamroller to cause the loss of freedom of speech for all of us.
You can read here the full article in the Washington Post, which details the basis for this current initiative, using the Kirk murder as a basis for stealing that basic constitutional right of free speech.
"Administration officials promise actions against critics in break with past GOP rhetoric defending free speech, probably drawing legal challenges."
