The Republican campaign against a healthy America is unbelievable. A writer describing a political party that deliberately wants to destroy a country’s good health would be laughed out of the room.
Our excellent research facilities have devised vaccines that have diminished if not eliminated terrible diseases, and yet we see the government advising people not to be vaccinated and not to have their children protected.
And trying to stop the research too. They are now trying to dismantle a world-renowned research lab. We have already seen this occur with the outbreaks of measles, a disease that had virtually disappeared.
Now the president himself is suggesting infants and children reduce their immunizations against disease. What are they thinking? Are they dancing in the streets as maladies spread?
In addition, they are cutting people’s access to health care, trying to eliminate Medicaid and even Medicare. Over a century ago many infants and children died of diseases that we no longer fear — diphtheria, measles, whooping cough, tetanus, polio and others. And aside from children, healthy adults are those who work, support their families, and pay taxes. Apparently, Trump and his hireling Kennedy are blind to these advances.
Wisconsin Republicans in Congress have voted in lockstep with President Trump, pricing out and kicking thousands of Wisconsinites off their healthcare coverage just to give tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires.
It's just wrongheaded.https://t.co/eXHfrjMPLV

But instead, they want to reduce access to good health. Now, to benefit from Medicaid and such, a person must work, even if he or she is not in good health. We see outbreaks of new diseases and Kennedy’s department has eliminated or reduced the agencies that are supposed to investigate and find solutions.
It must be noted that neither Trump nor Kennedy has any training in medicine or health care. They have also reduced our aid abroad diminishing the soft power that at a minimal cost, benefits all. So their deplorable actions will result in more sickness, perhaps even deaths, less access to health care, more absenteeism in workplaces even leading to reduced tax receipts.
These actions will cost everyone and the government more. What a mess. Can Democrats decisively winning the midterm elections begin the policy of turning around these crazy GOP failures in health policies and many other sections of our government?
