All it seems to take is another long telephone meeting with Putin for that familiar quick change of mind on the part of Trump!
According to the October 17th Washington Post story as the reason all of Zelinsky’s meeting with Trump, Trump demanded that Zelinsky cede the territory that Putin has captured in Ukraine as result of his invasion.
In tense October 17th meeting, Trump told Zelensky to concede land, meet Putin’s demands.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is rallying the support of his European partners after a bruising meeting with President Donald Trump, in which he was told to make concessions to end the war or risk facing destruction at the hands of Russia.
In a tense meeting at the White House on Friday, Trump tossed aside maps of the front line and urged Kyiv to concede its entire Donbas region to Russia to clinch a deal, according to people familiar with the exchange who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share sensitive diplomacy.
“He said [Russian President Vladimir] Putin will destroy you if you don’t agree now,” one of the people said. “Zelensky had his maps and everything, and he was explaining it to him but [Trump] wanted nothing to do with it.

Zelinsky has immediately turned to his European NATO allies to rally support for their holding firm on his position, which is certainly reported to be recently embraced by Trump who at his last Zelinsky’s meeting claimed that Ukraine should be able to acquire back the territory that has been stolen from them by Putin.
How can it be that every time Trump talks to Putin that he makes a new weekend position for Zelinsky?
There obviously can only be one reason and that is the fact that Putin has some huge club that he has able to wield on Trump!
There are many rumored clubs Putin could use, but I choose not to list any because none have been substantially proven.
As the old saying goes, “if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck” and Trump’s ability to duck the charge of capability has gotten to the point of absurdity. Trump is clearly willing to cave to Putin to somehow save his political ass.
And after his significant policy disasters, one can only wonder at the truth of the above conjectures.
