As we move toward the midterms On November 3, I had presumed that the accumulated evil deeds of this administration would pile up and possibly cause the GOP to gain some measure of shame, but of course that was an idealistic idea.
Watching Trump get by his vast missteps and illegal behavior one is tempted to think that he is falling into some sort of senility, but that is far from the case.
Trump is dangerous, wounded, increasingly unpopular, who still has plenty of support from the GOP, and still has the capacity to rally his GOP dark allies.
That he sounds at times as if he is sinking into dementia, we should not be ready to assume that he cannot speak with power and sufficient cohesiveness to maintain control of the elected gutless GOP in Congress.
He will keep constantly in the media so you will not be able to get by a day without having stories about himself and his family which he will use his presidential position to constantly fashion. Here is one example a friend emailed me without signing the publication in which it appeared:
Trump flew to North Dakota today to dedicate the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and left the crowd gasping. About an hour into a rambling speech, Trump noted that Teddy Roosevelt and his son were one of only two father-son pairs to receive the Medal of Honor. Then he looked at Don Jr. and Eric.
“As I see my two beautiful sons sitting there, I think I’m going to give one to myself, one to them, and we’ll have a threesome,” Trump said.

Democrats better be cautious about simply attacking him without fully stressing a strong a program that offers all voters the possibility of expanded healthcare and wanted housing opportunities and the affordability that they now are having such trouble achieving under Trump. Trump will still have enormous power with the maga group and the GOP senators that have been supporting him, even though he is mired in a vicious and seemingly dead-end war with Iran.
This war will doubtless affect him and certainly the further disclosure of the Jeffrey Epstein files could add to that conclusion, but still, we must be very careful to say what Democrats will do rather than simply making their messages all negative attacks despite the fact that there is a bundle of evils such as his blatant use of his office to amass great wealth for himself and his family.
Sure, if the Democrats win the Congress, they should be very careful about how much retribution they would seek since there’s a lot. They will have to get ready by finding an attractive candidate for the presidential campaign in 2028.
