Trump shows total lack of leadership against Putin!

Fortunately, there are still some wise voices able to bring an opinion forward in critical situations. One of those voices who spoke out on CNN on June 6. was Leon Panetta the former secretary of defense and other top post in government over a 50 year career which allowed him to assess performance on several presidents which he had served.

He pointed out that Trump says that Ukraine and Russia were like two children fighting, and that’s the best way to handle it. This would be simply to let them fight for a while.

We are aware of the greatly increased attacks by Russia on Kyiv and other key cities in Ukraine, and of the totally failed efforts on the part of the Trump administration to bring the parties into discussion that will result in an end of this, fear some loss of life on both sides.

In my previous posting on this website, “Will Ukraine’s inside Russia attacks finally let Trump hit Putin?”, I said forward what appears to me to be the only solution given that Putin has threatened tactical nuclear weapons use, which presumably would not be done that NATO should admit Ukraine now so that in a united way, we could tell Putin the war is over.

Of course, based on Trump’s complete failure of leadership as noted by Secretary Pinetta, the chance of that being an action at this time is obviously not possible.

Consequently, the dismal prospect of this vicious war will continue underlining the complete inability of the trumpet administration to deal successfully with foreign policy crises, such as the Israeli unwillingness to stop terrorizing the Palestinians in Gaza.

There are many other reasons that the Trump administration is showing its incompetence and its willingness to tear down important elements of our governance that while Elon Musk is far from a credible messenger. He at least had the sensibility to suggest another reason for this twice impeached president to be impeached again for his miserable handling of the economy, and his continued willingness to add to our national debt at the time when we must show fiscal restraint for the spending by our government which has over a period of several decades attributable to both parties.

As this administration goes forward, it has compiled a record that assaults our constitution at many levels and has proven beyond doubt that the continuation of its attacks on our democracy well forecast in advance of this 2024 election.
