Trump: utter disarray in his objectives and policies

Listening on September 23 to the remarks of senator Chris Van Hollen, I was most impressed with his delineation of the issues that Trump has failed to really address or to be consistent on seeking solutions.

Perhaps the most obvious recent situation is his complete conversion with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as Trump now says Ukraine can win back all the territory that Russia has taken in this current war. Trump keeps talking about being disappointed about Putin’s behavior, but continually avoids putting real pressure, such as sanctions and other steps he could take to bring Putin to recognize that he cannot win this war.

Of course, the Senator was also very precise in criticizing Israel for failing to work for the only solution, which is a two-state solution.

As for the Jimmy Kimmel controversy, he of course understands that the key is free speech, something obviously not understood by Trump nor elected GOP officials who have decided to seize their party to Trump’s entire control.

A failure of Trump to adhere to the Constitution that has served America so well for 250 years should be to everyone a matter of huge concern.

Then Van Hollen also pointed out that shortly the effects of Trump’s policies will result in a huge increase in Medicare costs and other adverse effects on many Americans.

So it is no surprise that Trump’s growing weaving back-and-forth on policies as well as his constant attacks on our constitution, on institutions that are key to American stability and invite his utter disrupting of world stability by withdrawing America into an isolationist position where I can no longer stand to defend democracy against dictator ships, such as China and Russia.

American voters had better recognize where we are, or they will find America in a steep decline.
