As the arrest of Jacob Zuma as South African President created riotous looting by its confusingly beleaguered citizens, one need not wonder WHY as the examples set for honest effective government by its first Black President Nelson Mandela and the moral leadership opined by Bishop Desmond Tutu were blatantly ignored.
The arrest of former South African President Jacob Zuma has triggered looting and violence in the country’s two most populous provinces amid a record wave of Covid-19 infections. https://t.co/L2OizJnO31 via @WSJ

WHY? Simple: Arrogant, blatant corruption at the top!
Does ex-President Trump deserve jail time? What would that precipitate here? I don’t know, but firsthand accounts by credible reporters of his aberrant, corrupt, treasonous behavior should not be ignored.
This Trump behavior echoes now here at home as we watch the GOP’s top leaders kiss Trump’s ring, fail to agree to empower a Presidential Commission on the January 6th insurrection and fail to stop GOP controlled state legislatures from enacting voting laws designed to inhibit minority voting.
The old aphorism “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” certainly applies here after the biggest turnout, most secure Presidential election in our history.
Meantime, whipping up white voter resentment from his nightly FOX perch is Tucker Carlson, the late Russ Limbaugh’s successor.
You can read here how Carlson got there from the page one July 15th Washington Post article by Michael Kranish.
A long, but necessary read about Tucker Carlson, a dangerous demagogue, whose white supremacist ideology who reaches millions and is a driving force behind the narratives of today's GQP.
The backstory about his first grade is priceless. https://t.co/q2hc37Uzv6
