Not only as Mark Meadows’ behavior reveals, but his filed emails with the House January 6th Commission have proved his questionable behavior.
Now the full story by numerous credible authors have amply proved beyond doubt that a sitting President tried to stage a coup on January 6th.
You doubtless read Bart Gellman’s Atlantic article, but I repeat access to it below. It is far from being the only conclusive proof of Trump’s coup intentions.

In 2024 Trump, as he is very likely to run again, will be trying to do so again after fixing Electoral College appointments in key states controlled by Republicans.
Can this diabolical miscarriage of our laws be stopped?
No unless there is an awareness and an awakening from all Americans as to the evil racist motivations of Trump and his ilk which sadly now includes most of the elected members of the GOP.
Washington Post’s Opinion Writer, Dana Milbank’s 12/13/21 piece doesn’t mention Gellman’s article, but suggests this January 6th coup attempt was done by crackpots and that we may not be so lucky if that a second coup attempt is not as inept. Such coups of the past have been driven by the behavior of many aspirant dictatorships before this one.
And for exactly the same bottom-line reason: RACISM.
Remember the Jews in Hitler’s Germany among many other current and historical examples?
The Trumpians motive is clearly the same. To seek to stop the political rise of the burgeoning minority voting population, which will be larger than white voters by the 2040’s.
Instead of welcoming and educating our minorities, for hundreds of years America’s white majority practiced persistent racism despite the remarkable contributions of African Americans and other immigrant minorities to our democracy.
Did Georgia Floyd’s murder mark an historic change? The filmed evidence of police brutality that convicted former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin lends credence to that hope.

To paraphrase Lincoln at Gettysburg, all Americans are now engaged in another civil war testing whether this nation (or any nation) can live up to the dreams of equity embodied in our founding documents.
Can we prove our fragile system really works or do we slink off into the cavernous grip of Trump’s led authoritarian rule?
The jury is still out.
