Alas, to MAGA’s and Oligarchs Mr. Trump Gives Major Disappointments!

As the Trump Administration marches into its second month, we are learning daily that the wonders of Mr. Musk’s DOGE efforts to find waste and corruption are largely undocumented and unproven.

It is worth noting here that on Friday March 14, Trump “railed against the federal prosecutions he once faced during a rare presidential visit to the Justice Department”.

The same old, same old lying cries of injustices seemed to me to place him on the edge of insanity. You decide when you can read the full story here.

Allowing Musk to sell Tesla cars, including one to Trump on the south lawn of the White House, proved Trump’s continued backing. After all Musk’s $288 million gift to his 2024 election campaign seems persuasive enough for this unprecedented token of gratitude.

However, his proposed massive cuts into almost all departments of the federal government seem to be quite controversial to many audiences, but also to the Magas who so enthusiastically elected Mr. Trump!

The poor MAGAs have discovered that being pressed into the bosom of the richest oligarchs does not involve charity but involves restricting the basic services that government needs to provide that are particularly vital to people who are working paycheck to paycheck.

Possible pending cuts in Social Security per Musk, amid the stock market’s effect on retirement accounts cause major apprehension. Not for the oligarchs who pay virtually no taxes. We should note that there are many oligarchs such as Warren Buffett and the Bill and Melinda Gates’ foundations that have given heroically to many causes, some very controversial.

Of course, dismissing faithful government workers on a willy-nilly basis, with no intention of providing any order to the process, government functions are rapidly reaching a state of utter confusion at every level.

So far the largely quiescent Democrats will repeat the few initial town halls held in GOP districts in all 50 states which would force Republican members of Congress to justify the actions taken against their constituents. Those meetings so far have been instigated by the Democrats and have resulted in intense anger from Maga members.

So alas, there are enormous disappointments among both parties.

The big surprise is the fact that the oligarchs themselves are confused and disappointed that the destruction of the federal government has not provided the joy they wished. Another tax cut for the rich needs the tariffs strategy to work and the Canadian, Mexican, and European belief that Trump has decided to abandon 8o years of safety, success is stupid, immoral and jolting all groups to stiffen their backbones and find no confidence in counting on the US under Trump.

And I know that many of these oligarchs have been waiting so patiently for their little tax cuts.

Sadly, it was also those tax cuts which Trump engineered in his first term for the corporations of America from 37% to 21% that ran up Trump’s $7 trillion first-term deficit which now seems on target to add several more trillion to our present $37 trillion deficit about which Musk is promising to fix with his chain saw approach.

Even so Democrats are now rated according to an NBC poll at a historically low level as they are completely divided on Senator Chuck Schumer’s vote to keep the government open by voting yes on the GOP short term budget bill prompting Trump to praise Schumer for his courage.

I applaud Schumer for agreeing to keep the government open. He and John Fetterman the Democratic senator from Pennsylvania understood that closing the government would give Trump and Elon Musk perhaps months of time in which to further dismantle the government.

Letting the Republicans continue to anger practically everyone in the country would be a very sound strategy for the Democrats. The sycophant GOP leaders in Congress will find increasing flack at the Democrat organized town hall meetings. and preparing for the lies and the disappointment.

James Carville predicted in late February that Trump’s Administration would collapse in 30 days, which time has not quite arrived, but another month or so under Trump’s blatant use of his office for profit, praise and power will continue to alert us to his intent to take full power over our cherished democracy!

Read Carville’s prediction in Newsweek here.

Many citizens now wonder if our freedoms will be widely eradicated. Many voters worry the midterm elections won’t fix what Trump will have done by then.
