Everyone should be thankful that Trump has proved successful in initiating what could be a broad and sustained peace in the Middle East, which will bring the Arabs and Israelis together for the benefit of all.
His triumphant speech to the Knesset assured us that permanent peace had been permanently achieved.
There are many more hurdles that this agreement will need to overcome for the full realization of the long-term and sustainable peace.
However, this extremely positive first step should not be greeted with total optimism, as there are many difficult decisions ahead.

The Israeli military says Hamas has handed over all living hostages held in Gaza in exchange for Palestinian prisoners and detainees, as part of the first phase of Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza.
The agreement saw a ceasefire come into effect at 12:00 (09:00 GMT) on Friday and increased amounts of aid enter the Strip over the weekend.
Once phase one is complete, negotiations are expected to follow over the details of the latter phases.

The GAZA triumph does not change the dangerous Trump record 2nd term behavior overall. As we have been arguing for years, Trump’s constant efforts to dismantle, our democracy will continue and the issues now in the forefront such as his use of the National Guard to invade, democratic metropolitan areas without permission from their mayors or the governors of their states is simply one more example of many, which proceeded it that Trump will stop at nothing to install his authoritarian regime.
The current government shut down will certainly affect voters in both parties, but neither party would seem to benefit by its extension.
However, as payrolls begin to evaporate and the likelihood that people will realize that healthcare costs will increase for a significant number of us. What about too few air traffic controllers? It may well bring the Trump assaulted into a slowdown. Or what about having adequate staffing for air traffic controllers, or for FEMA employees to handle the current hurricane season?? Simply two other negatives to add to the current shutdown.
We are still a long way from the midterm elections, and the Democrats still have not found a leader is seen as able to tell a strong Democratic story!

Trump’s dangerous progress toward destroying our democracy continues.
Again let me state that, Trump’s role in the Gaza cease-fire and prison exchange deserves high praise; he has already, in his second term, accomplished to almost succeeded in tightening control over our democracy, which must be reversed.
