Good reasons for feeling helpless? Any solutions?

As a result of the substantial disclosures from material principally from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein, further action for full release of the files will be initiated, and a new bill to that effect will be issued in the House Representatives shortly.

While the Jeffrey Epstein files will eventually be fully released and a bill may end up on Trump’s desk for approval, he is not expected to sign such a bill!

To many observers, this would seem to confirm that he was deeply involved with those underage girls observers since he seems to be leaving no stone on turn to keep these files from being fully released. This would help to validate his deep involvement.

Attacking several important Democrats, who doubtless were involved with Epstein is simply another of Trump’s attempts to stop the inevitable disclosures.

Regardless of how this comes out, it gives us all a feeling of helplessness to change what appears to be disastrous trends in our government.

Trump‘s foreign policy, from tariffs, behavior toward Venezuela, to attacking boats in the Caribbean allegedly carrying drugs, to not finding solutions to the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Gaza, which Trump promised to bring to a close the day after he entered office for his second term.

And even suggesting testing nuclear weapons, gives voters nightmares!

Trump repeatedly claims that the cost of living is falling, that the economy is in the best shape it’s ever been and that all programs are on tractor to fix the legacy which the Biden administration left him.

Still not admitting that he lost the 2020 election, he tries to appoint the judges who will agree, plus reducing his inner circle to yes men and women.

Trump’s second term has been the most divisive to our republic in its entire history since we still were able to conduct and come on our republic following the Civil War despite our many mistakes.

Now, however, the steaks are so much higher because of the global implications of his actions.

We made many foolish foreign invasions, including Vietnam, where I visited twice in the 1990s and found that winning that war against the United States had been highly favorable for its economy.

The threat that cremains open, despite his utter failure to resolve the wars in Ukraine and Gaza as he so loudly promised at the time of his reelection.

Everything about Trump seems to be a symbolized most perfectly by the Jeffrey Epstein revelations. It is doubtful that any chance of removing Trump before the end of his term, but certainly this will not enhance his image with Majorie Taylor Greene and his MAGA base. Clearly, economic issues will remain pivotal to the Democrats in winning back the House of Representatives at the midterms. Perhaps even a few Republican senators will find the courage to vote against Trump making an outside chance for Democrats to win there as well.

While it seems that there is nothing much a responsible voter could do at this point, I remain confident that Trump’s record has reached a new level of immorality, so even the dullest among us, may become disinfected and vote correctly.

Of course, we consumers have special influence on how the economy is going and one possible real downer for Trump would be a recession which a number of experts consider a real possibility. Speaking of solutions, perhaps a recession will offer all voters the best results for Democrats winning back the House in the midterms.
