Watching the people file into the US House Chamber, you could only wonder how so many could seem so casually involved at a time when the nation is so dangerously positioned by the completely asinine policies he has introduced.

He clearly should have been prosecuted in jail after his coup attempt on January 6, 2021, but now he has opened the possibility that he will lose both houses of Congress in the midterms, which would make an opportunity to drive him from Office even before 2028.

You can read the Washington Post analysis of his speech here which will give you the solid evidence of what I have just written above.

As he addressed Congress on Tuesday for his State of the Union, President Donald Trump was back on his heels.

He is as unpopular as he was after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, and a majority of voters disapprove of the way he is approaching every single one of his priority issues, a new Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll found. Days ago, the Supreme Court knocked down most of his tariffs, which have been central to his economic policy. This fall, his party is at risk of losing control of Congress.

In the face of these headwinds, Trump gave a speech that was defiant, asserting that prices have gone down, criminals are being deported and the economy is growing.

“Our nation is back,” he said. “Bigger, richer and stronger than ever before.”
