As Trump’s attempts to fashion a dictatorship get closer and closer, we find the GOP getting increasingly docile and apparently willing to give up our democracy to the highest bidder!
Since Trump is the highest bidder, making as much money out of the presidency as all the previous presidencies before him, we can expect his continuing efforts as long as voters from both parties let him and his gutless GOP get away with its murder.
The list of Trump’s list of offenses is overwhelmingly impressive, and untreated by the GOP.
The latest, of course, is getting Speaker of the House Mike Johnson to refuse to allow the newly elected congressional member to take the oath of office so that he can keep the house from voting to release the Jeffrey Epstein files. It is very obvious from the evidence so far that the impact of such a lease might well be highly debilitating.

Then, of course, the back-and-forth on Trump‘s failed efforts to bring Putin to heel since his brutal invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 now has come down to endless back-and-forth meetings what you’re not include Zelinsky when Trump needs with Putin.
For years that relationship with Putin has been subject to speculation as to why or what Putin has in the way of information about Trump which Trump does not wish to be exposed.
Zelinsky has bravely kept up the fight, thanks to our NATO allies which Trump required them to buy from the US the armaments they send to keep Zelinsky able to hold off Putin.
One must surely be pleased that Trump finally got Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to stop his genocide, and I got a swap of the hostages on both sides. Trump‘s plan for peace is complex and hopefully will move forward to a satisfactory conclusion, but most observers are highly skeptical.
Then, of course, there is a Trump’s abject failure to keep living expenses down for American voters, which was the promise upon which he got elected in the second term, along with immigration stoppages
Now we see his brutal use of the National Guard and ICE in a blatant attempt to claim that the cities, all democratic, are cesspool of violence, despite the obvious fact that they are not. Obviously, he is hoping that he can use the intervention act to assume the ultimate of power over the cities.
This is Chicago protesting Trump’s deployment of the National Guard! They don’t want them there because they aren’t needed. They’re also placing legal signs in the windows of private Businesses that warn ICE or BP agents not to enter without a signed Judicial warrant by a Judge! pic.twitter.com/wxpMkcsChx

A meantime, he is fired so many federal employees that basic functions such as business data, weather reporting, and even cutting down the internal revenue service IRS so that the malfunction of traditional government help has already begun to increase.
Democrats have made efforts to get the GOP majority in the house to enter in the negotiations, but they know that if they agree to open the government, those negotiations will prove a sham which will not restore health insurance to the vast numbers now to be cut off.
Taken altogether voters from both parties must now realize that electing Trump to conduct his retribution against his alleged enemies has proved him to be the most ineffective, vicious and dishonest president in our history.
Unfortunately, the Democrats have not proved to a significant number of voters, both disgruntled Republicans and independent voters, to make it a certainty of Democrats regaining the House at next year’s midterm elections.
It is indeed historic moment in American history, but even more important it represents a dismantling of the world order that the United States, so faithfully, with obvious faulty foreign adventures in Vietnam and elsewhere, maintained until Trump systematically with tarrifs and alienating long-term allies such as India.
Many efforts to attack our mass media and intimidate anyone who would speak out against his wishes have now created circumstances which have elevated his power to the point where what happens next may be unstoppable.
As the September 23, 2025 interview with the late Jane Goodall, and much prior evidence from all knowledgeable experts concern about our environment, we are well into something known as the sixth mass extinction, which could well begin to surface in the next decade, and we will recall with regret that an inadequate action was taken as Trump continually called our climate crisis, a hoax.
