The overwhelming list of reasons to not elect Trump on November 5th are having too little effect on his faithful voters.
The daily stories in reputable news sources often get unread by Trump’s followers who listen to Fox and innumerable deep state media outlets which repeat Trump’s lies. Fact checking can’t keep up with the flow of false information!
On Thursday October 31–Halloween—the ghosts of Trump’s consistent public lying continued unabated, as recalled by Bob Woodward in his interview with Keitlin Collins on CNN. He noted that he has had hours of one-on-one contact with Trump as he wrote his books including the latest best seller WAR. Woodward was very clear that Trump is against our Constitution, admitted strong man dictators such Viktor Orban President of Hungary, and noted Trump dislikes democracy as he wants to rule like a tyrant. Trump admires Putin and Kim of North Korea with whom he has made cordial contacts.

The rancor and name calling from Trump are now dismissed by too many voters who can’t believe he would do what he claims he will do if elected.
Just one more example.
The November 1, 2024 Washington Post article entitled “Trump embraces violent rhetoric, suggests Liz Cheney should have guns ‘trained on her face’, and continuing it reported, “The GOP nominee often describes graphic and gruesome scenes of crimes and violence, real and imagined.”
Speaking in Glendale Arizona, he reached a new level of threatening language against a former Congresswoman which I cite in full here as its clarity for future personal assaults on his enemies if elected to a second term could not be clearer.
Republican nominee Donald Trump faced a fresh controversy on Friday after he suggested former congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) should have guns “trained on her face,” escalating his vilification of a prominent critic from within his party, as well as his use of violent imagery.
The former president’s campaign reacted by criticizing media coverage that interpreted his remark to imagine putting Cheney in front of a firing squad rather than sending her into combat. Cheney said Trump’s intent was to intimidate anyone who challenges him.
“This is how dictators destroy free nations,” Cheney, who lost her position in House Republican leadership for condemning Trump’s actions on Jan. 6, 2021, and went on to serve as vice chair of the committee that investigated the attack on the Capitol, said Friday on social media. “They threaten those who speak against them with death. We cannot entrust our country and our freedom to a petty, vindictive, cruel, unstable man who wants to be a tyrant.”
Trump’s latest attack on Cheney came late Thursday during a live interview here with Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host.
“She’s a radical war hawk,” Trump said of Cheney, following a tangent about his pardon in 2018 of Lewis “Scooter” Libby, a former top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, her father. “Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face.”

Most voters are supposed to have already decided, but I argue that women will win the Presidency for Harris! Trump’s formula for “protecting women” which includes his stated freedom to grab them by their genitals or the fact he has already been convicted for attacking woman in a NYC store or convicted of hiding payments to a porn queen just before the 2016 election somewhat strains the plausibility of his “I am your protector” claim!
As I predicted in my October 17th op ed “Trump’s Defeat Is Surprisingly Sure” which you read here again.
"Some polls report the abortion issue has relatively small power to motivate men’s voting. However, I believe the polls underestimate the number of women whose vote will be determined by the loss of Roe!"

Abortion rights are supposed to be of small importance, but they are the most direct connection to freedom; mothers fear for daughters and do husbands. It’s a big deal!!
I said then,
Some polls report the abortion issue has relatively small power to motivate men’s voting. However, I believe the polls underestimate the number of women whose vote will be determined by the loss of Roe!
Even as food or other prices worry voters, the taking of abortion rights which could lead to restrictions on other reproductive options in a 2nd Trump term will be primary on women’s minds for themselves and their children as they cast their votes.
So, I repeat. Trump’s Defeat Is Surprisingly Sure!
